The Big Question: Can Social Media Content Be Repurposed for Blogs?

Here’s what I wanna cover: A big question that I always get whenever we’re onboarding new clients who are considering the conversation of SEO Marketing is whether or not we can just take everything they created on Social Media and repurpose it for Blogs. And the short answer is: No! Absolutely not! No, no, no, no, no. And here’s why: Blogging is not a strategy that is like Social Media. They’re completely different strategies in how we go about marketing.

Differences Between Social Media Marketing and SEO Marketing

Summary: Do Not Repurpose Social Media Content Directly for Blogs

But to, again, summarize: You cannot, and should not, just repurpose an Instagram post or a Facebook post or a TikTok video onto a Blog. You can take the idea, you can take the concept, and then look at the actual analytics of the keyword you are trying to write for and then use that data to help you rewrite the content. But we cannot just go and repost.
